If you are renovating or building your house during the pandemic, you might think it can be difficult but it is not. It can be as smooth and easy if owners and their contractors cooperate and take extra care to ensure health and safety protocols and Building Codes and Control guidelines are met.

Now that the holidays are over, many residents have applied to TMD to resume their building and renovation works on site. TMD strongly advise for everyone to follow the building guidelines, as well as to strictly implement the protocol of health and safety of Covid-19.

Please make sure that you convey the following guidelines to your building contractor or workers:
1. Workers/ laborers who are coming to a work site must be in healthy condition (no cough, fever, difficulty in breathing). If the worker/ labourer is sick, entry to the cluster will not be permitted.
2. Workers/ laborers must wear a mask when working.
3. Hand sanitizers/ soap and water must be made available to the workers/ laborers for frequent hand washing/sanitizing.
4. Workers/ laborers must strictly follow the required “social distancing” of 2 meters from each other during work and rest hours.
5. Workers/ laborers must stay within the work site and not interact with the surrounding neighbourhood.
6. If renovation or new house building work causes any inconvenience and disturbance to other neighbors and violate regulations, work will be stopped.
7. Working hours: Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Building Codes and Control TMD continues to improve their services, making application available online since July 2020 through: https://linktr.ee/InfoLippoVillage. Online application takes no more than 15 minutes. No need to queue anymore at the TMD Customer Service office.

Payment methods for renovation or new building stickers including security deposit can now be directly paid thru TMD virtual account Nobu Bank: 88890300-8 (digit Customer ID, for example your Customer ID: 12345678, your virtual account for payment will be 8889030012345678). Wait for Building Codes and Control’s confirmation that your permit has been approved before you proceed with the payment.

With all the guidelines and health protocols being observed by everyone involved in the renovation and building activities, you can assure your neighbours a pleasant environment with minimum or no disturbance. They will not be only thankful but will do the same to keep you comfortable when it’s their turn to renovate and build.
