Here are some tips to remind you and ensure that your home and belongings remain safe during your travels:

1. Install security lighting (preferably LED lights) with sensors for evening and early morning illumination.
2. Lock all doors and securely close windows to deter possible intruders.
3. Conceal valuable items within your home and leave valuables such as jewellery in your bank’s safe.
4. Turn off all electrical devices and water meter.
5. Park your personal vehicles in the garage or carport, locked and alarmed.
6. If your house staff or anyone is staying in your house, instruct them not to accept guests. Advise them to call TMD’s emergency number at 0800 1900 911 if any suspicious activity is observed.
7. Be aware that TMD does not conduct any activities without advance notification through email blasts. Contractors cannot access residential areas without official TMD permission.
