You've probably received regular email updates from TMD about the water pipe cleaning program in Lippo Village. But what's it all about, and why is it necessary?

TMD's water pipe cleaning program is essential to provide clean, high-quality water to all residents. Periodic draining of the water pipes helps keep them clean. This can be done through pillar hydrants, drain pipes (wash out), and home connections.

Sometimes, this activity is scheduled; other times, it's triggered by changes in water quality during daily checks. If scheduled, the process takes about 2 to 6 hours. However, this may cause temporary water supply disruptions at your home, like reduced pressure or changes in quality.

Don't worry! TMD has a water truck on standby for emergency clean water supplies. Just call our 24-hour emergency: 0800 1900 911. For planned maintenance, remember to store some water for your use.

Before any work begins, close the tap at the water meter and wait until everything is back to normal. Flush the water before using it in case of residuals or particles are left in the pipes. This is just normal and by flushing until water becomes clear again is good practice.
