It’s not only an eyesore but abandoned properties will bring negative impacts on the entire neighbourhood and may even cause to reduce the value of your home.

Do not neglect your property, otherwise:
  • It looks messy and will disturb the harmony of the surrounding environment.
  • The lack of lighting at night can create a feeling of insecurity for neighbours.
  • Your empty home may attract unwanted occupants such as snakes, rats, mosquitoes especially since the trees and grasses are not maintained.
  • Reduce the property values.

TMD strongly advised every owner of unoccupied houses to do the following:

  • Have an automatic sensor of LED lightings in some areas, so the house and its surrounding will not be dark at night and the security patrols can also immediately see if there is anything unusual.
  • Close all the windows and doors of the house to prevent uninvited guests, either human or animal, to get in.
  • Clean the house regularly, both inside and outside.
  • Cut the grasses and trim the trees around the lot.
  • Cover all areas that are visible from the outside with fences, so it will not look messy. Do not leave any openings that can be used as access into the house.

If your unoccupied house become a public nuisance, affecting public health and safety, TMD will clean up the area and charged you as the owner through monthly IPKL. We will send a notification to the correspondence address before clean up work is commenced on site. If there is no response within the deadline, TMD has the right to continue the work to be witnessed by TMD Environmental officers and/or security officers. All work will be photographed, recorded and sent to the owner together with the billing statement.

Let’s work together towards a Clean and Safe Lippo Village!
